Tracking the Magic Formula
Since reading the book the Magic Formula, I have decided it would be interesting to start doing some deeper analysis of Magic Formula stocks. Since I am a wizard when it comes to programming, I figured I could have the computer do most of the work for me. This I like! And as you can tell from the title of my blog…I love to figure things out.
So here we go. On the week of June 2nd, I began putting the list of Magic Formula stocks into my database so I can dig deeper into them. Analyze them by sector and by financial statements etc. I look at the Magic Formula as an excellent screen for buy and hold stocks, so I’d like to try to improve my performance going further in my PA, by using the Magic Formula as one of the tools to help me make investment decisions.
